If you have this tv and was informed it was HDREADY then you are mistaken as it is not in fact HDREADY and if you bought it after january 2005 then take it back and get a HDREADY tv that is, I had one of these and was told it was HDREADY when in fact it does not meet the EICTA standards of been one as min requirements that HDREADY tvs must have either a dvi or hdmi socket and min resoultion of 720 which this set does not. However samsung was crafty in relabelling the set but if the front panel on the top left hand side says HDREADY 1080i and you thought it was a HDREADY tv, you can demand a refund as the sales of good act "not fit for purpose" or not as describe, this is why i changed this set to the sony one hence the review in that section. However if you are not wanting a HDREADY then the picture is fine and watching dvd through component are good but the picture format cannot be changed which is a thumbs down for me!
