I had the phone for just over a year, and it has both good and bad points. Firstly, it has a lovely slim design and, despite this, still manages about 5 to 7 days of battery life depending on usage. It is also quite user-friendly, allowing you to assign the buttons on the keypad to frequently used menus, such as text messages. The predictive text is also quite intuitive, suggesting words and remembering the words you type most frequently to save you time. Built-in Bluetooth is also quite useful but does drain the battery. The camera is only VGA so images taken with it are small, but for the size, quality is quite good. Voice call quality is good and the volume can be turned up loud if you are in a noisy environment. The phone does have MP3 player capability but since there is very little storage space, you will probably only be able to store a few ringtones. You cannot connect any external headphones (apart from Bluetooth) so it's not practical as an MP3 player either. I also found that as the phone got older, it became more and more unreliable; restarting at random, text on the screen becoming garbled and failing to send more than one text messages at once. Overall, not a bad phone and for light users and very good value now that the price has come down. Even now, it is still one of the slimmest phones you can get and still quite stylish. However, if you are a heavier user or want to do more than calls and texts, you mat want to consider a Nokia or Sony-Erricson for more features and greater reliability.

I got this phone on O2 pay as you go when it came out. The phone is excellent really. Just wish I'd waited for the SLVR though as the L6 has not enough memory to store mp3's, unlike the SLVR. The camera and video are really good quality and the ease of use for all functions is second to none. On the whole I'd give it 9/10. An excellent phone!

Cheap and usually works. Leaves an impression that it just doesn't carry out the basic "clear speech" , "reliable" and "good reception" requirements as well as it should. Pro - very slim and lightweight - reasonable battery life- up to several days - clear display and menu - Bluetooth data and headset stable - syncML works fine- use it with the free Funambol software to backup contacts and calendar Con - never seem to hear it ringing, even at full volume - microphone position poor for left handed user- stubble adds realistic storm effects - diary hidden in menu - bluetooth/ talktime battery life is poor.

A great phone! Takes good photos and ringtones sound very realistic. A long way from motorola's earliest phones...very thin and slick as opposed to housebrick!!!
