Excellent radio. We use it in the kitchen and garden. Being battery powered your not restricted to having it in close proximty to a mains socket and therefore possibly being in the way when your preparing a meal. Plus points: batteries are incorporated within the radio and are rechargable. It can be run on mains or battery and no extra lead to buy. Reception is very good. Unit is solid and well built. Minus points: Radio is quite heavy for a portable item. Battery needs charging quite regularly. Only has 4 pre-sets. Display is to small, it can also be hard to read, with a very restricted viewing angle. Not stereo. it can be put out of the way
