Had the tv 2 years. Frequent sound problems and recently no picture. Power indicator lights up but the screen stays black. Then I cant switch it off unless i pull the plug. And after a quick net search, I see many have the same problem. Worst tele I've ever bought. Thanks Curry's.

We bought a Lexsor LC27W18SD from Curry's with extra 3 year warenty at £99 for a "Whateverhappens" policy which Techguys.com service. It's (not worth the paper it is printed on). I have the same fault, a thin red vertical line, the TV is 18 months old. After one week techguys.com are still waiting for a part and cannot give me an eta on it. They have 21 days to get the part and solve the problem (it needs a new mainboard), they then collect the faulty TV and send it for tests. So another couple of weeks wait until they declare and inform the insurance company that the TV is faulty. Then you have to wait for the insurance company to send you a voucher to go buy another TV (probably a Curry's voucher, so there all in it together). So you could be without a TV for up to six weeks. What a rip off!! My advise, don't buy low end makes of LCD TV, go for LG, Samsung or Panasonic (advice from a friend who works for Comet!), because if there is a fault then parts are readily available.... I hope this helps someone else to not go through this issue.... Seriously thinking of contacting BBC's Watch Dog!

Bought this telly July 06, told by sales assistant in top store that this telly was very good. Will never buy an unknow name again, no longer has a picture when you turn it on. When phoning about a repair I was told £180 for just for them to look at it!!! The guy (from Curry's) I spoke to told me I was better off buying a new tv

Bought from Curries, developed intermittent fault in which picture would go bright around the edges of figures and colours and slowly became unwatchable but menu would be relatively preserved. Curries changed the mother board and the problem came back immediately- still not repaired. Just sarcastic comments from Curries engineer.

Cheap and nasty! Bought the Lexsor and within one month it would no longer fire up. While the set was actually working the pictures had bad colours and contrasts, the presets were over bright and over powering. Would avoid this TV as if it were the plague 1*
