NO BBC CHANELLS SINCE SWITCHOVER. WHEN WILL I RECEIVE OVER AIR UPGRADE? GOD ONLY KNOWS.

Bought as new from ebay two years ago. By and large has been okay. Though recently it freezes a lot and needs rebooted often. Most recently, after rebooting, I've noticed its also started deleting some recordings from the library.

This is great box, easy to set up and use. The only thing to be aware of is if you start deleting old recordings whilst the bos is recording something at the time, the new recording might jump/skip.

Bought the Tesco version yesterday:- Techwood AEDTR80S7 £67.00. So far I'm very pleased with this twin tuner. Fingers crossed

Bought as a refurb on ebay about a year or so ago. Worked fine until the other day when it died (no power up). Looks like a 'bad caps' problem (Google it) as there is at least one bulging capacitor on the power supply board and the cap brand (G-Luxon) is listed as a known bad brand on badcaps.net. I have ordered some replacement capacitors and will post my experience in the forum. Can't blame Digihome for being caught by this problem so I have to say that it's been (and might be again!?) a great bit of kit. Watch this space!

Workmanlike piece of kit that continues to reliably churn out freeview from an indoor aerial. Budget inspired decision but few smeasurable difference relative to top quality branded recievers. However it is worth noting that the supplied remote is utter tat and also that the reciever it WILL NOT be able to recieve HD channels when they are inevitably forced upon us. Overall, well worth buying but only if you are 100% certain (and I mean 100%) that you can recieve freeview using your existing set up otherwise its a highly frustrating experience - trust me!

Just got one of these as a refurb unit from Dabs for £50 - its the spare room so no great shakes, but it has been rock solid, prefer it to the digifusion range, but it is certainly no topfield

Mine has been working fine for the last 6 months - really nice piece of kit. But in the last couple of days, the EPG keeps going completely blank - but restores itself if the machine is switched on and off at the socket. Don't know what rating to put on the machine - has anyone else experienced this?

Not pretty to look at, easy to install & use but find picture quality very disappointing i.e. colour bleeds, picture loses clarity.

I love this machine, threw out my old video recorder and put this in its place. No tapes, no fuss. I urge everyone to buy this machine. Great

I regret the day I bought this. First one never worked, returned same day. Replacement worked three days, and then had to be returned. Final one is good when it works properly but some blank, thick horizontal lines sometimes appear on the screen. They can be removed by pressing any button but are irritating - and if they appear while copying from disk to video then you get them on your video! This machine is definitely one to avoid!

My boyfriend bought this for my birthday. Very easy to setup and excellent to use. I’ve had it now for 2 months and I’m starting to have some trouble with it. When I record the channels start and stop and I lose sound unless it’s the channel I’m recording which is pointless. If I pause live TV it fast-forward’s through it now when I press play so I miss what I tried to pause and then watch. Going to try and download some new hardware for it. If that doesn't work, it’s going back I’m afraid to say. It is a great product and now I couldn't be without it, just make sure you keep your receipt in case you have any problems!!

Parents bought one yesterday, set it up fine and watched for a few hours then turned everything off. Goes to switch it back on today and I'm getting nothing, no lcd screen, no HDD boot up, absolutely nothing at all. Totally Dead. Will be going back to Argos for a replacement/upgrade depending on what the folks want to do. Not Happy with it at all, £99 = Silver Brick.

Very good all round even using an indoor ariel. Only thing I have noticed is that the signal strength indicator seems to have very little to do with the actual signal strength, (unless someone at Emly moor is sat continuously twiddling the knobs). Also Radio scanner (Pro 2006) can cause breakup of picture.

Bought this to replace my (fairly) trusty but aging Panasonic TCUT20. The PVR was fine *as a PVR*. EPG, timeshifting, recording off the EPG, all worked well (software V3.9) But: - There was 1/4" gap between the bottom of the picture and the bottom of the screen of my Panasonic 24" widescreen CRT TV. - Auto switching between 16:9 and 4:3 only worked sporadically, if at all. - The deal breaker. The hard disk emitted a high-pitched whine that could be heard throughout my living room. Argos happily replaced it with another box (software V4.9 this time) Although the disk whined slightly less than in the previous box the screen presentation issues remained, so back it went for a refund. Again, no hassles from Argos. I noticed the HD is made by Samsung. Is this a known problem with these drives? I've built PCs using Western Digital, Quantum, Connor and Seagate drives and never had one that made that kind of noise. It's a shame, because the box did some things better than the TCUT20. I appreciated the full 7 day EPG and meaningful front panel display. The sound quality was vastly improved as compared with the Panasonic; in fact, I was all set to retire my FM tuner. And last: any recommendations for a PVR with a silent disc? I don't mind a low hum and moderate head-seeking noises; it's the needle in the ear I can't stand ;)

Got a PVR80, works a treat but does anyone know if or when an OTA update will xmit? I know thee is later firmware for bug fixing but since I currently do not have any problems will wait for OTA if it is actually coming.

Bought this PVR and all I can say is its excellent, It is so easy to record things over the next 7 days, I love setting all the programmes up the night before. What is also good about this is, I also have a dvd recorder and can record any films/shows that have been recorded. All I have to do is play the programme that was recorded and then record it to dvd. Watching another channel while recording another made me buy this because while one is recording to one channel I can record the other channel to dvd. So realy I am recording 2 channels. Can't fault this product at all and well worth every penny. Have not had a fault yet and its made my viewing 100x more easy and better! Tops *****
