I got the Samsung LE19R71BX LCD TV a gift. Its very good looking no doubt on that. Sound quality is good for my single room, but picture quality depends on two factors: first the connection and the picture settings. i used SCART from sky digibox to TV, picture not good, its broken, blurred, i changed the settings, made the contrast 50, brightness 40, sharpness 50 and colour 30, now its ok , better, but still picture not that crystal clear, i convinced myself saying it is LCD, not HD, and i used SCART, so that's why i am not getting 100% picture output, but its ok, , 5 years warranty from Samsung, remote control is good, box came with free wall mount. i didn't try with my pc yet, i will try later. but overall is good.

Overall this is a good bit of kit when it's compared with the other shelf LCDs around the £250 mark. SCART input can be a bit saturated but is a known problem among engineers; a cable with 100 Ohm resistors will solve this. This television/monitor is being used with an Atari ST/Sinclair Spectrum/Amiga and all of the old computers. It's brilliant!! Sound is a little tinny when compared to what small PC speakers can do these days. Overall I'm more than happy with it. My only gripe is that the clock isn't battery backed when you switch it off at the wall. For the sake of 50p they could have stuck a battery inside it.

Very bad picture as a TV and unless your graphics card is VGA then forget about it because HDMI is not supported from a pc! Bottom line is that Samsung have done a very poor job with this TV there are way too many issues!

Great as pc monitor however connect anything to SCART such as digital box or the DVD player and picture is terrible.

Since when does a PC not support HDMI. Any chump knows that you only need to buy a HDMI to DVI cable for around £5 on ebay and use a 3.5mm jack plug for audio. Most samsung tv's have a specific audio connection next to one of the HDMI sockets for this purpose. Any HDTV with a native resolution of 1440x900 is going to look bad if you pump a SD scart feed in it. As they say you cant make a silk purse out of a pigs ear. This TV is fine as a monitor / TV in a study / bedroom. No lunatic would buy this as there only TV.
