The camera is great as with most SE phones. The keys are way to small for the average hands and the touch screen is, well touch and go if it works. I was onto my third phone before I got one that worked anywhere decent. Dump the touch screen and put normal keys on it and you have a winner! Everyone I know who has got one has something bad to say about it. I love SE phones, but not this one!

What can i say about the k850i well to make this short and sweet if ur looking for a phone feture packed and realy is value for money then get it. The phone it's self is just plane awsome great camera great to use as a mp3 player and with the abilty to buy a micro sd card that can go up to 8gbs you will niver run out of space BAD POINTS The preloaded firmwire is very buggy so thats why when u get it u must update it very easy to do so it will just make the phone feel more friendly along with some small addons Thanks for your time

Not a bad phone, the picture is excellent and has a very quick processor. I dont like the new menu options for the Media section, that is quite slow. The casing can prove a little easy to damage and crack so really needs a sleeve or something to protect it. The "joystick" key options takes a little getting used to. personally I dont like it as there is two key buttons between the top and bottom, so for those who like txting a lot, will get more exercise for their thumbs. The actual keys are not too bad, but personally I dont like them.. however they are probably ideal for most. The "touch screen" menu keys. What a waste of time... they messed up on that front. The "feel" of the key as in how hard, where exactly is different for the left middle and right selections. so you have to press lighter or harder, they also are the most common fault of the phone to go wrong. The screen layouts are the same for previous K & W models. I suppose you can compare this to the N95. I personally prefer that as the keys are better however K850 certainly has a much faster picture processing system than the N95. The pictures are however exception on the N95. Its a brick phone, chunky and will take up some space in the pocket or handbag. The overall quality I would say is actaully very good. Like all phones you have to make your purchase with regards to how you are going to use the product. If you was to compare the quality of say the W580 then the K850 is the bently, and a robust model that should do what it says on the box.

I picked up this handset for Christmas as an addition to my XDA Mini S - I love the Windows Mobile, but the device had a terrible camera. The K850 is first and formost a CyberShot Camera - with cellphone and Walkman functions built-in. My last SE was (on vodafone) the SE-V800 3G Flip and I'm pleased to say that the SE menu system, txting and ease-of-use has either stayed the same or improved. the CyberShot part is great. I'm finding it fast and easy to use, especially the three 'soft touch keys'. I'm now using it instead of my Samsung 3MP camera. It's also handy having a choice of memory stick formats. The synchronising with Windows is much better. It will sync to Media Player as an MP3 player, rather than having to use the (supplied) SE software. It's a niggle that the album art does not appear. Synching to Outlook was also quick and convenient. The display has a sharp resolution and photos & videos look great on it. The inbuilt photo/video functions are great fun, too. Suggested additional features Wi-Fi (like the W960) would be the icing on the cake. Making the screen fully touch-screen (like the W960) and hiding the keyboard under a slide. Album art into the Walkman? Hints and tips for other owners Get a bigger (2GB or larger) memory stick AND a USB adaptor to get your photo's onto Windows/MAC. Don't cover the sensors with your fingers when taking photos. There is a known issue with the flash not syncing with the shutter. This can be upgraded with a firmware 'flash'. Make sure that the sync 'directions' are correct when you first connect the 'phone to the PC, otherwise you might 'wipe' your contacts & calendar!
