Good wee radio. No problem with reception and much easier to use than previous DAB radio I had. Presets limited but you can find any station easily. Sound is excellent and it looks good too!

useless thing. I feel i've been totaly ripped off. It won't pick up much on the digital side and has no allowance for an external ariel. poor poor poor.it just doesn't get worse than this. AVOID at all costs.

Like the DAB radio - good price, but eats batteries are all DAB radio the same ? what is the expected life out of top quality batteries?

Kit, I had problems with batteries on mine. I found it was due to bad contacts between the 6 batteries. I found if you moved the batteries around, got the unit to work, and then put the back on, it was ok. It does tend to eat them quickly though - but most DAB radios do alas.

I am on my second one as neither of the ones i've bought so far work on battery power. The batteries are good (they work fine on my other radio!) which means this product is useless if you want it for a roaming set. This is such a shame cos I really love it. Does anyone have any solutions before I get my money back?

I got this DAB portable for £40 yesterday in Argos. So far, I'm impressed with it - especially for the price. It's a stereo model, with 2 small speakers which go quite loud, with little distortion (up to 20). It also has an FM tuner, takes batteries (6, 'C' size) and has a normal mains lead (no transformer). The sound has real 'oomph' with pretty good bass and a nice top-end. It also has an alarm and sleep-timer. The only bugbear (so far) is that it only has 8 presets - 4 for DAB and 4 for FM. 4 presets for DAB is not nearly enough. But for 40 quid, you can't knock this radio. I'll give it 4 stars (out of 5) - it would have got 5 if it had more presets. Definitely recommended (so far).
