Pace Micro Technology has announced a deal with Sky for additional digibox supply for the 2007 financial year.
Pace expects to commence deliveries of its Sky HD boxes at the end of 2007 and continues to ship the personal video recorder, Sky+.
Neil Gaydon, chief executive officer at Pace Micro Technology, said: "With this new supply agreement we're delighted to confirm our ongoing relationship with Sky. I'm particularly pleased that we will start supplying Sky HD boxes for the first time later this year."
Last week, Amstrad, the electronics company started by Sir Alan Sugar which is the main supplier of Sky's set top boxes, was bought by Sky in a £125 million deal. Sky said the purchase would allow it to reduce costs in its supply chain and develop its own in-house design.
