Karren Brady has reportedly been lined up to replace Margaret Mountford on next year's Apprentice.
According to The Sun, the Birmingham City FC managing director is being considered for the post following Mountford's decision to quit the show last week.
"Karren is as astute as Margaret - but with added sex appeal," said a source.
Brady, 40, has worked for Sir Alan Sugar on the last two series as one of his interviewers at the semi-final stage.
You're Fired! regular and Ultimo lingerie founder Michelle Mone has also been linked to the job.
Sugar's adviser Nick Hewer said that he would be "happy to work with either" Mone or Brady on the show. "I like them both very much," he said.
Mountford is leaving the BBC programme after five years to focus on her PhD in papyrology.
