Last year's hosts Graham Norton and Claudia Winkleman will return to present the show, to be held at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre on September 6.
The 135-minute special, screening in BBC One's coveted Saturday night slot, will see a professional dancer team up with a celebrity to compete for the Eurovision crown.
The contest will feature dancing couples from 15 European countries, including Austria, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
Viewers will vote for the winner, with Strictly Come Dancing's Len Goodman and Craig Revel Horwood commenting on performances.
"This will be an evening of extraordinary dance performance fusing the popularity of Strictly Come Dancing with the scale of the Eurovision Song Contest. It will be a great event in the great city of Glasgow," said Elaine Bedell, the BBC's entertainment controller.
Finland were crowned winners at last year's Eurovision Dance Contest.
