I actually liked both MW and EB for different reasons, and I liked the way they linked together. However, how could anyone take EB seriously after seeing MW taking the p out of the actors, the plot, the sets and the props! It didn't really have a chance, did it? I'm not at all sure about zombies. I think the programme will gain some new viewers but lose some old ones, so the number of will just about stay the same. Had they continued and improved on what they had already achieved I suspect more viewers would have come on board. But this is what happens everywhere now. Nothing has a chance to stabilise and settle before it's changed.

I persevered with EB, but it was clear from the off that ITV should have stuck to the original plan of airing it on ITV2 (even with the extra budget it still looked too cheap for primetime on the main channel). Having the team move on to a new show makes perfect sense as it gives new script opportunities and will allow MW to develop if it gets recommissioned for series 3 (fingers crossed - although if ITV insist on scheduling MW on a Friday I think it will struggle to get the ratings).

Echo Beach was not as bad as people made out. Bring it back for a 2nd run, things normally improve with age!

I never liked Moving Wallpaper. I found it crass and full of media stereotypes. Echo Beach on the other hand was worth watching. So the cliffhanger'll never be resolved....

Never watched the shows to be honest but i think if they had been on different days it might have worked. Seeing as it was 1 show about 'behind the scenes' and one with the actual show it would have worked better on like a wednesday and a friday ?

I liked Echo Beach better than MW but there wasn't much for the show that could keep it going for another season, however I want to know what happend since they left a cliffhanger at the end of the series and I really hope that they don't tell us on moving wallpaper in a dissmissive way because I liked to class them as two different shows.

Zombies? I think they've chosen the wrong genre there...

A good move! I think Moving Wallpaper is probably the best new comedy show in the last few years, and the Echo Beach connection (whether you think it was good or not) probably dissuaded viewers from trying it. There were, I'm sure, viewers who liked both intellegent comedy and soap, but not nearly as many who like one or the other.

I think it's a good idea to be able to see the MW characters in a slightly different environment where they are still developing a show, but a different kind of show. Theortically MW could go on developinga number of shows and I thought that Jonathan Pope's character was quite funny)

I loved "Echo Beach" - two of my favourite soap actors, Martine McCutcheon and Jason Donovan together. Anyhow, with that cliffhanger ending they could go it again.

To be honest, I liked both shows and although they had the clever connections, I never thought of them as the 'same' show and instead as the comedy (MW) and the soap opera (EB) and the MW was a very good comedy show but EB had a good story and after the cliffhanger ending, it would be nice to see a conclusion to the story... As for the new story... I do like the fact that the team from MW are just doing another show, I did wonder how one would return without the other, so it will be nice to see them all again... hoping all the original cast come back... And the cast of EB... do they fit here at all or are we meant to forget all about them?

I think they should have made a one off episode of echo beach to finish the story. At the moment it has ended with the two men overboard and her driving an out of control boat. I actually preferred echo beach to moving wallpaper so not everyone hated it. I found the johnathen pope character really annoying.

I think a clean break is probably the best move - there was only so long MW could carry that dud for. What will I miss the most about EB? Hmm... it's a toss-up between Martine's "performance" and Johnny Briggs's shiver-me-timbers accent.
