
The second episode pulled in an average of 7.78m viewers - a 34.58% share of the audience - at 8.30pm. The show had a strong lead-in from EastEnders, which had 11.10m and a 52.12% share.
Ratings for the channel dipped in the 9pm hour, with audiences of 4.72m (21.37%) and 3.57m (17.00%) for Worst Week of My Life and Wild West respectively.
On ITV1, an Inspector Morse repeat managed a respectable 5.44m (25.66%) between 8.30pm and 10.30pm. New Friends had 3.37m (15.25%) on C4 at 9pm, followed by 2.52m (11.99%) for new Will and Grace half an hour later.
Overall during peaktime, ITV1 was on top with an average share of 30.72% (last week: 31.87%) against BBC One's 26.98% (27.59%). BBC Two was third on 8.31% (8.21%), while Channel 4 had 7.63% (7.57%). Five rounded things off with a 5.60% share (5.22%).
