'Apprentice' Kate lands GMTV job

Apprentice star Kate Walsh has been given a presenting slot on GMTV, say reports.

According to The Sun, the series five runner-up will host a segment on the ITV1 morning show about "what women should wear in the office". Lorraine Kelly will apparently co-host with Walsh.

"Kate is desperate to get a career in telly," said a source. "She did a screen test for GMTV and they liked her.

"The plan is for her to do some stuff with Lorraine and then get something regular."

The 27-year-old, who is currently dating fellow Apprentice candidate Philip Taylor, lost out on the £100,000-a-year job with Sir Alan Sugar to Yasmina Siadatan.
