Victoria Wood filming Christmas special?

Victoria Wood is recording a Christmas special for BBC One, it has been reported.

According to The Guardian, the comedienne has agreed to film a new show, her first in nine years since Victoria Wood With All The Trimmings.

The BBC are yet to confirm the story, but admitted: "We are currently in ­discussions with Victoria. It is too early to go into further detail."

Earlier this year, Jo Brand praised Wood for her early stand-up work.
