Chris Parker to join MTV?

Former EastEnders star Chris Parker is to return to TV screens next week.

The actor has apparently signed a deal with MTV to present MTV News while Tim Kash is away. Parker is also in talks to join the network on a more permanent basis.

A source told The Mirror, "Although the last few months have been quite turbulent for Chris, he's got a very strong, young fan base and we think he'll be a real asset."

Meanwhile, The Sun reports that Parker is to move to Manchester with friends temporarily. He is apparently also in talks with the BBC and ITV for future projects.
