A celebrity version of Family Fortunes is making its way to Channel 4, according to The Mirror.

Producers are lining up Dame Edna Everage to host the new version of the show.

A source told the newspaper, "The problem is that Dame Edna's Broadway show, Back With A Vengeance, has done really well and its run has been extended until June.

"She'd agreed to do Celebrity Family Fortunes in principle, so bosses now have to decide whether to wait for her or get someone else."

Other potential hosts include Vic Reeves and Bill Bailey.

The source added, "They are still keen to get Dame Edna and even flew out to New York to try and find a way round the problem. Unfortunately, there isn't much they can do before the summer."

Channel 4 are also hoping to bring Mr and Mrs and Celebrity Squares back to our screens.
