"Balamory is one of the most popular programmes to come from CBBC Scotland and we are very proud of it," said Simon Parsons, creative director at CBBC. "Over the last four years we have made 254 episodes - which equates to showing one a day on every weekday for a year - so we now have enough to keep the schedule fresh for a long time to come."
Around fifty new episodes are still to be transmitted. The series airs on the CBeebies channel as well as CBeebies programming blocks on BBC One and BBC Two.
