BBC newsreaders including Fiona Bruce, Dermot Murnaghan and Natasha Kaplinsky will don long-haired wigs and Lycra for a performance of Queen's hit Bohemian Rhapsody.

The performance will be shown as part of the Children In Need fundraiser on November 18. Kaplinsky said it was a "laugh" and said that though she always tells herself "this is the last time," she still comes back ever year.

Last year's show raised over £17m on the night of the broadcast, with the money going to help disadvantaged children.
