Part of ITV Worldwide, commercial television distributor Granada International established its Latin America office in Rio de Janeiro last year.
The deal features the final and seventh Prime Suspect, which is up for two Golden Globes at tonight's ceremony, and documentary Prime Suspect: Behind The Scenes.
Ray Winstone drama All In The Game, Robbie Coltrane's return as criminal psychologist Fitz in Cracker: Nine Eleven and art-history drama, The Impressionists also feature, alongside a number of TV movies including a true-life story starring Friends’ Matthew Perry as a teacher who leaves his rural home to face the tough schools of New York.
Flavio Medeiros of Granada International said: "Establishing an on-site presence in the region has enabled us to provide a service tailored specifically to meet the requirements of broadcasters based here.”
Groundbreaking documentary series, 49 UP, which has interviewed a group of people every seven years since it was originally broadcast in 1964, will also be shown on HBO.
“The completion of a deal with such a respected and internationally renowned broadcaster as HBO Latin America can only go to prove the success of this strategy,” Medeiros added.
