Green Wing actress Tamsin Greig is currently filming a second series of BBC One comedy drama Love Soup.

The show, created by David Renwick, followed perfume counter manageress Alice Chenery in her search for love, alongside American comedy writer and potential match Gil, though the two were completely unaware of the other's existence.

Sheridan Smith and Montserrat Lombard, who played Alice's colleagues Cleo and Milly, also make a return, but Michael Landes, who played Gil in the first series, will not feature due to filming commitments in the USA.

Renwick said: "We have built on the girls' friendship to create what we hope is an even more entertaining mix of the varied, often unusual forms taken by human relationships."

"Series two continues with Alice on the look-out for love, lust and the meaning of life. The friendship between Alice, Cleo and Milly and their witty, quirky take on romance lent the first series great warmth and humour," he added.

The show is being filmed in London and the South East until June 2007. The format of the series will be twelve 30-minute episodes and it will air on BBC One later this year.
