Think-tank the Foreign Policy Centre and the channel have set up the Iraq Commission in order to advise the government on Britain's future plans in the country, though Channel 4 will be solely responsible for televising the hearings and findings.
According to Broadcast, the hearings are currently scheduled for June, and will be open to the press. Granada will be producing the televised highlights in an 8 x 120-minute series, which will run late night Monday to Thursday from July 2.
Channel 4 News' Jon Snow will host the series, which includes a 90-minute Saturday peaktime programme. The run will culminate with an Iraq Commission Special on July 14 where the findings will be delivered to the incoming prime minister and the leaders of the main political parties.
