Welsh language channel S4C is to show a documentary with Polish subtitles, thought to be a first for a UK show.

The BBC's O Flaen Dy Lygaid (Before Your Eyes) will focus on Poles who have moved to Wales.

The show's producer, Marc Edwards, told the BBC: "Polish people in Wales helped us enormously in making the documentary and were thrilled we were taking an interest in their community. The idea for subtitles in Polish really came from them. They wanted the programme to be available to Polish expats all over the UK and we were very happy to help make that happen."

The programme will be presented by Bangor resident Barbara Owsianka, whose parents fled Poland for the UK after World War II. Wrexham policeman Keith Sinclair, who learned Polish to work with the growing immigrant community, will also feature in the programme, which airs on Tuesday night at 9pm.
