Jack Osbourne had a frightening encounter with an elephant while filming for the BBC in Namibia.

The 21-year-old was asked to take part in an episode of Saving Planet Earth and help to raise awareness of the neglected elephants living in the country.

"We were filming about 10 elephants simply walking along. Then a big male got into the road and turned towards the car. I was terrified. He started coming towards us with his ears flapping. That's a sign the elephant is angry and could be about to charge," Jack told The Sun.

"I was praying 'Please don't, please don't'. Around 10 feet in front of the car he stopped and stood watching. Amazingly he just walked off again. The elephants' bodies are about the size of a Range Rover so I dread to think of what would have happened if he'd charged."

Saving Planet Earth airs tonight at 7.00pm on BBC One.
