BBC Northern Ireland has commissioned three documentaries from Tern Television.

Get Well Northern Ireland will follow Boo Armstrong exploring how alternative therapies could help reduce "pill-popping" and improve health; Discos will look at children from Belfast's tough inner city competing on the dance floor, and Gorillas in the Shed will examine the keeping of dangerous pets in the home.

All three films will be produced in Belfast.

Tern Northern Ireland head Alison Millar said: "Following the recent success of our At Home with the Clearys film for RTE, which drew 45% audience share, these latest commissions exemplify what Tern Television does best - uses unique access to unknown worlds or parts of the community to tell powerful and relevant stories that reflect contemporary life."

Clearys will go out on BBC Four and BBC Northern Ireland in the New Year under the title The Real Father Ted.
