Gervais bags 'Extras' Globe nomination

Ricky Gervais has been nominated for the Best Comedy Actor in a TV Series award at the 2008 Golden Globes.

Gervais landed the nomination for his performances in Extras, which is up for the Best Musical or Comedy TV Series accolade.

The Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Meyers is nominated for the Best Actor in a Drama TV Series, and is up against Hugh Laurie, who is rewarded for his work on US series House.
