The BBC believes the Strictly Come Dancing winner is popular with viewers and is keen for her to front her own programme.
A source told the Daily Star: "Alesha has real star quality and just needs the right show to showcase her talents.
"Viewers - and the camera - loved her. She proved a hit on our biggest show and we'd be mad to let her go to a rival."
The insider added that Dixon will be "getting an offer she cannot refuse" in the near future, saying: "Alesha has the potential to prove a real Saturday night ratings queen - she just needs the right show. There's no rush, she's got her hands full for the next few months and we need to get the right format."
The 29-year-old is currently overwhelmed with offers, with a new record deal, album, live tour, dance DVD and her own perfume range planned for this year. She is also rumoured to have landed a lead role in hit musical Chicago in the West End.
She is believed to be dating EastEnders star Rob Kazinsky, who plays Sean Slater in the soap.
