Fiver adds US fashion reality series

Five Life, soon to be renamed Fiver, is to air US reality series The Fashionista Diaries.

The show sees six young hopefuls move to New York and take jobs at a cosmetics company, style magazine and fashion public relations firm.

Producer Disney-ABC said: "The series follows the ups and downs of these young men and women as they try and make it in the highly competitive fashion, beauty and publishing industries at glamorous jobs with sky high rent, long hours and a hectic social life that blurs the lines between work and play."

Hannah Barnes, director of programmes for Fiver and Five US, has brought in several new shows alongside the rename and on-screen redesign planned for "the end of April".

"Fashionista Diaries is a perfect fit to the Fiver schedule," she said. "It is young and fast and fun, and we are delighted to be able to continue our relationship with Disney-ABC International Television."

Disney-ABC vice president Catherine Powell said: "We are delighted to be building on our broader relationship with the Five family, bringing this fun and original new reality series to its schedules."
