BBC Three comedy Gavin & Stacey has been named programme of the year at the BAFTA Television Awards.
The series beat The Apprentice, Strictly Come Dancing and Britain's Got Talent to the title, which is the only category voted for by the public.
Star and co-writer James Corden won the award for best comedy performance, ahead of Stephen Merchant (Extras) and David Mitchell (Peep Show).
Andrew Garfield - aged 24 - was named best actor for his role as a child killer in the Channel 4 drama Boy A, while Eileen Atkins beat her Cranford co-star Judi Dench to the best actress accolade.
Harry Hill scooped two awards, best entertainment performance and best entertainment programme, for his ITV comedy show Harry Hill's TV Burp.
Medical drama Holby City was the shock winner for best continuing drama, ahead of EastEnders, Emmerdale and The Bill. Jimmy McGovern's The Street was named the best drama series.
Heroes was awarded best international series, while E4 prank show Phonejacker was crowned best comedy programme and Peep Show best sitcom.
