Corden, Horne want Tate for sketch show

Mathew Horne and James Corden are planning to ask Catherine Tate to star in their new comedy sketch show.

The Gavin & Stacey actors are currently working on plans for the series, which will air on BBC Three.

Horne played a variety of roles in Tate's award-winning BBC Two series, including the long-suffering grandson of foul-mouthed pensioner Mrs Taylor.

"I would love to find Catherine a role and I'm sure she would do it," Mathew told The Sun.

Meanwhile, James Corden has denied reports that Lily Allen will be involved in the project.
