In Full: John Leslie statement

TV presenter John Leslie was cleared of two charges of indecent assault this morning after months of allegations and speculation about his private life. His emotionally-charged statement to the waiting media follows.

What can I say? I am an innocent man.

I have maintained my innocence throughout and today it has been justified.

The last 10 months, my family and I have been taken to hell and back, although we always believed that justice would prevail and that the truth would out.

I said I would clear my name through the due legal process and today I have.

I would not be able to be here, if it was not for my mum and dad, my family, my girlfriend, my friends who have to a man stood by me, and the general public for their letters, for their cards and their kind words. And finally for my team of John, James, Paul and Jason for believing in me 110.
