Best known for his role in Dawson’s Creek, Murray landed his first major role in One Tree Hill as Lucas Scott, a boy who’s estranged father, half brother and a whole host of adoring females make his teenage life that little more harder.

Murray’s first major job came when he was only 17, when he landed modelling contracts with worldwide clothing brands such as Gucci and Tommy Hilfiger.

James Lafferty (Nathan Scott)

From an early age, Lafferty was encouraged to get involved in the entertainment world, and by the age of 10, he landed his first speaking role. Advertising was another area where he was encouraged to participate in.

His first major role came when he appeared as Emeril’s son in the American sitcom ‘Emeril’. Films roles soon followed, until his big break came when casting started for One Treet Hill. Lafferty now has a leading role as the stubborn half brother to Lucas Scott.

Moira Kelly (Karen Roe)

Born in: Queens, New York
Date of Birth: 6/3/68

The start of Moira’s career came about due to the misfortune of one of her fellow students in high school. Kelly was cast in a small role in the school’s production of Annie. When illness took hold of one of the leading actresses, the director had to re-cast the part and chose Moira. An acting agent sniffed the newly found talent, and her acting career took off from that moment.

Best known for her role as Madeline Hampton in The West Wing, Moira has made numerous television and film appearances which have included the leading role in the American drama ‘To Have and To Hold’ and providing the voice of Nala in Disney’s ‘The Lion King’

Moira now has a part in ‘One Tree Hill’, spearing as Lucas Scott’s mother, Karen Roe, who has struggled through life as a single parent after Lucas’ father, Dan Scott, walked out on her before Lucas was born.

As a writer, composer, director and actor, Johansson understandably has quite a large filmography and his role in ‘One Tree Hill’ just adds to that list. He stars as Dan Scott, father of two sons who both live and die for basketball.

She now also stars as Peyton Sawyer in ‘One Tree Hill’, a girl who is drawn between the two half brothers, Lucas and Nathan Scott.

Sophia Bush (Brooke Davis)

Sophia is no stranger to television drama. She has appeared in the children’s TV show, ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’, alongside Melissa Joan Hart and also appeared in a three part episode of the US plastic surgery drama, Nip/Tuck.

Bethany Joy Lenz (Haley James)

Bethany’s acting career started at the age of four when she appeared in an adaptation of ‘The Wizard of Oz’, and soon started to appear in adverts on the television including Dr. Pepper. Her talent was soon spotted by a casting director who gave her a role in Stephen King’s ‘Thinner’.

She has had various roles over the years, which have included a two-year stint on an American soap opera and various guest roles in US comedy shows.

Beth she has an amazing singing voice with a four-octave range. Understandably, this prompted her to work on a musical production of ‘The Outsiders’.

She now appears as Haley James in ‘One Tree Hill’ an outstanding student who is best friends with Lucas, but in a relationship with his half brother, Nathan.

Craig Sheffer (Keith Scott)

Sheffer’s ability towards acting reared it’s head at a young age which prompted him to study the theatre at University. Soon after graduating, he moved to Hollywood to pursue his acting career, where he soon landed his first major film role in ‘That Was Then, This Is Now’.

He has penned his own novel and his production company ‘Sheffer Films’ is currently developing a film called ‘American Crude’ which is due for release in 2005. Sheffer currently appears in ‘One Tree Hill’ as Dan Scott’s brother, Keith Scott, who has a strong relationship with Karen and brings his brother’s child up (Lucas) as his own.

Corbin currently stars as basketball coach, Whitey (Brian) Durham, in the teen drama ‘One Tree Hill’.
