Katy Brand ('Katy Brand's Big Ass Show')
She's made a bit of a name for herself as an A-list hater thanks to her Big Ass Show, but with a third series about to arrive, is Katy Brand showing any signs of mellowing? If the opening episode - which mocks everyone from the Queen to Jennifer Aniston to Lady GaGa - is anything to go by, Brand is as fierce and celeb-bashing as ever. Is it all just an act, or does she really loathe them all? We gave Katy a quick call to find out.

Lady GaGa is one of your first victims in the new series. What do you think of her?
"She's a work of art really - we don't know her name, we don't know what colour her hair is and we don't really know what she looks like. The only way you could tell if you were passing her in the street is if she was naked. It's quite an interesting idea for a celebrity to just create this whole other thing and whoever she really is can just go around living her daily life. It's quite clever. But her music? She's just Whigfield! I don't understand what all the fuss is about. When I heard 'Just Dance', it's just 'Saturday Night'! I don't understand why everyone thinks it's genius. I do think the look is genius but the music is just awful boring Europop from the nineties!"

The Amy Winehouse sketch is missing from this series...
"Well, Amy Winehouse is missing, isn't she? I wanted to do a month-long shoot in St Lucia and really get into character, crawling round and nicking drinks off tables. Unfortunately we didn't have the money for that so we left it alone. I do have a vague rule of not doing people when they're really in a bad way and there just wasn't a lot to say, really."

Is that why you've skipped Kerry Katona too?
"Yes. I was asked to interview Kerry Katona but I just thought, 'It's like social work!' I doubt social workers are paid enough to be honest but she's not in a place where she can talk about anything honest. She's in a bad way - she needs help, she doesn't need some girl on telly taking the piss."

Have you thought about doing a Katie Price/Peter Andre sketch?
"The thing I find funny about big stars is the people who are very pompous and pretentious, who are riding high and trying to convince us that they're something that they not necessarily are - and I don't think you could ever really accuse Katie Price of being pretentious! She might be many things but she's not pretentious so there's nothing to take the piss out of, really. Katie Price is boobs and books - there's not a lot else I could say."

Has anyone reacted badly to a send-up you've done of them?
"No - I bumped into Lily Allen once and we had a bit of tension but I think that's fair enough, really. There was no grief exactly but I think she wanted to see what I was all about. I felt I owed it to her to not curl up and die, so we had a bit of an eyeball-to-eyeball moment and then it was fine. The moment passed and I said I liked her dress and it was okay. Then I met her mum and her mum was like, 'I love it! It's so true!'"

Did you watch the last series of The Kevin Bishop Show?
"It was fine. Some bits of it made me laugh. I like him a lot - he's a very funny boy. Watching The Kevin Bishop Show is very much like being with Kevin Bishop."

What about a crossover between your two shows?
"A thing together? That might be fun. I don't rule anything out! I've worked with him before - I wrote a pilot years ago that he was in and he was very funny. It's literally a different accent every minute with him, so sometimes you have to go and lie down in a dark room for a bit. But yes, he's a very funny boy!"

Series three of The Katy Brand Show begins Thursday at 10pm on ITV2.
