BBC planning celebrity 'Fame Academy'

The BBC is working on a celebrity version of Fame Academy for comic relief, according to The Sun today.
The show will follow the same format as the first run, but will instead turn celebrities into popstars with the help of vocal coaches and choreographers.
"The first series of Fame Academy was troubled but it eventually built up into a big hit. Celebrity reality shows traditionally bring in huge ratings," an 'insider' told the newspaper. "And BBC bosses think Celebrity Fame Academy will be a huge commercial success by bringing in millions through voting lines and selling a bucket-load of records."
Among those reportedly on the BBC's wishlist are Amanda Holden, Tracy Shaw, Jordan, Michael Greco, Patsy Palmer, Kevin Kennedy and Frank Skinner.
