ITV drama 'Britannia High' cast confirmed

The cast of ITV musical drama Britannia High has been confirmed.

The series, which will follow the lives of six super-talented pupils at a fictional performing arts school, will end with a 90-minute final episode featuring an end-of-term Students' Showcase.

Skins star Mitch Hewer, Tracey Beaker's Georgina Hagen, Sapphire Elia from Dream Team, Marcquelle Ward, Matthew James Thomas and Rana Roy will play the six students.

Also among the cast are Mark Benton, Michele Austin, Lorraine Pilkington and Chris Jarvis.

Brian Gant is the series producer, while Arlene Phillips, David Ian and Take That's Gary Barlow have developed the music and choreography.

Producer Gareth Philips commented: "We've pulled together a top notch team of writers for Britannia High, who are tremendously talented and full of enthusiasm to make this unique show the best drama on television this year."
