RI:SE sinks to new low
Published Thursday, Jan 23 2003, 22:11 GMT | By Steven Smith
Channel 4 breakfast show, RI:SE, recorded just 100,000 viewers yesterday - a new low for the revamped show.
Despite moving studios, sacking all but one of the original presenters, and introducing new texting competitions, the show is failing to reach as high as the lows it was reaching before Christmas.
Yesterday, Noddy on Five had four times as many viewers at the same time. RI:SE's 3% share made it the least watched show of the five main terrestrial channels.
200,000 viewers tuned into RI:SE at 8am - it's highest level throughout the show - yet at the same time GM:TV had 1.8 million and BBC Breakfast had 1.5 million.
