Channel 5 reveals Autumn lineup

Channel 5 today revealed its most ambitious and expensive Autumn schedule to date including a ground-breaking prime time reality TV series.
The £51m schedule consists of 39 new shows, 21 returning series and five special themed weekends.
At the centre of the schedule will be Jailbreak - Channel 5's biggest and most costly series yet.
Jailbreak is a unique combination of reality TV and game show, which will see ten "prisoners" locked in a specially constructed Category C Prison and then given just three weeks to escape. The first to freedom will win £100,000 from a £250,000 prize fund.
Starting on September 5th Jailbreak will be hosted by Ulrika Jonsson and screened daily at prime time on 5 as well as being shown 24 hours a day via web cam on the Channel 5 website (www.channel5.co.uk).
Channel 5's Director Of Programmes, Dawn Airey, said: "Jailbreak combines two of Britain's television obsessions, it's where reality TV meets the game show.
"There's never been anything like it on British television before and we' re sure it will be a unique and compulsive viewing experience."

- Headless - a new police drama starring former Casualty star Patrick Robinson
Jerry Springer coming to 5 to host his own late night chat show - A brand new morning topical talk show hosted by Matthew Wright with James O'Brien and Kate Silverton.
- Documentaries on topics as diverse as: Princess Diana; Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky; killer viruses; premature burial and Attention Deficit Disorder.
- Including top class football with England, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland in World Cup qualifying action and British teams competing on the continent in the UEFA Cup.
- New series for established favourites Keith Floyd; Gloria Hunniford; It' s A Knockout; Night Fever; Fort Boyard and House Doctor.
Special themed weekends on Martial Arts; Sharks and ABBA. - The terrestrial television premieres of Con Air; One Night Stand; Grosse Pointe Blank; Batman and Robin; Boogie Nights and The Postman.
