Channel 4 is to move The West Wing from Saturdays to Mondays, according to this week's Broadcast.
The US drama will air for the last time in its 8pm Saturday slot this weekend, thereafter moving to 11pm Mondays starting March 10.
"We think The West Wing is a good drama and we've tried a variety of scheduling and promotional strategies over the past three years to bring an audience to it," explained a C4 spokeswoman. "Ultimately, however, we haven't managed to persuade British viewers to watch it in sufficient numbers to justify giving it a 22-week run in the heart of our peaktime schedule."
Ratings for last Saturday's episode dropped to just 848,000 viewers.
