George Michael has recorded a cover of Don McLean's anti-war track 'The Grave' for MTV Europe.
The lyrics in his version of the song, which featured on McLean's 1971 'American Pie' album, have been left largely unchanged.
The song was filmed for MTV in the UK and Ireland, and will be shown on MTV networks all around Europe from Monday.
"MTV Europe is free from political standpoint and prides itself in offering its audience a number of perspectives on a variety of issues that are important to them," said Brent Hansen, MTV Networks Europe CEO.
"George Michael has a history of expressing strong, personal views, with inimitable creativity and conviction that resonates with MTV Europe audiences."
