TV to be required to schedule UK films

Today's Independent on Sunday reports that the Communications Bill may have an amendment added to force broadcasters to show more current British films.
In other European countries such as France, Italy and Spain this type of requirement is used to support the local film industry. Here British mainstream broadcasters showed just 2.6% of recent British Films from the films shown on their channels.
