US teen drama Dawson's Creek is to move from Channel 4 to five next year, according to the Media Guardian today.
Under a new deal with programme makers The WB, five will show the sixth and final series next year, possibly in a Saturday evening slot.
Channel 4 has held both the terrestrial and pay TV rights for the programme since it began in 1997. A spokeswoman for the network said that it had pulled out of the bidding for the terrestrial broadcast rights to the sixth series, although digital station E4 will still be home to its pay TV premiere later this year.
Five has also acquired rights to repeat the first two series.
