"It’s a fantastic coup to bring Wayne Rooney to Sky One," said Donna Taberer, entertainment commissioner for Sky One, Two and Three. "The competition is brilliant and we will undoubtedly uncover some amazing new talent."
Competitors upload videos of themselves performing tricks and demonstrating skills, with the best 50 entrants picked to compete at a five-a-side tournament. Rooney is among the judges and appears at the event, which has not previously been televised.
The series, Coke Zero Presents... Wayne Rooney's Street Striker, will air in the autumn.
