Terry Wogan is making a return to daily television a decade after his primetime BBC One show was axed.
The new show, to be launched in the spring, will go out every morning on Five and will be co-hosted by Gaby Roslin, with whom he is usually paired on the BBC's Children in Need telethon.
Wogan said: "Morning is the Marie Celeste of television - drifting, deserted. It'll be fun to see if Gaby and I can bring a breath of fresh air to fill the sails of our bright new craft."
Wogan's deal is reported to be at the six-figure level, although details have not been disclosed. The show will be produced by Chris Evans' UMTV.
Evans said: "To work with Terry and Gaby is a producer's dream come true and a make-up artist's nightmare. I'm grateful that I am the former."
Gaby Roslin added: "I've been longing to work with Chris Evans since we left the Big Breakfast eight years ago and am thrilled that Five has re-united me with my two favourite side-kicks, Chris and Terry. I can't wait to take on the mornings - and rest assured I'll be keeping Mr Wogan well in line!"
Wogan's daily radio show, Wake Up To Wogan, on BBC Radio 2, will continue.
