Two new reality series began at the weekend to varying ratings success.

ITV's Reborn in the USA, which aired Saturday at 21.35, averaged just 3.7 million viewers over 90 minutes, equating to a 17.4% audience share. The BBC's Jonathan Creek managed a 9.2 million (41.4%).

Meanwhile, Friday saw a strong debut for Celebrity Fame Academy on BBC One as 7.8 million (38%), tuned in to see Paul Ross kicked off the show. On Saturday figures fell to 6.7 million (28.9%), still a good performance in the same timeslot as ITV1's Saturday Night Takeaway.

Yesterday the show was scheduled against Coronation Street and, as expected, ratings dropped once more to 5.8 million (22.9%).
