The company behind bid-up.tv are to launch a new auction channel where the price of goods decreases during the auction, according to this week's Broadcast.
Price-drop.tv will launch in the summer on Sky, Telewest and ntl. The "first of its kind", viewers will be invited to ring up and buy items. The original price will go down steadily as more units are sold -- the gamble for ths customer is waiting for a suitable price but hoping that there are still units left.
Founding director of sit-up, Ashley Faull, said: "We took in £2m a week over the Christmas period and hopefully Price-drop.tv will build on this success."
