Virgin1 to air US 'Monster Hunter' show
Virgin1 has lined up 12 episodes of US mystery investigation series The Monster Hunter for its schedules this summer.

The show sees adventurer Josh Gates visit locations around the world rumoured to be the home of mysterious or paranormal creatures.

Among his destinations are Papua New Guinea - where there have been reports of dinosaur-like animals in the skies - and Argentina, allegedly home to a "Wolfman".

In the US, the show is called Destination Truth and has just begun its second season on The Sci-Fi Channel.

Virgin Media Television's head of acquisitions Amy Barham said: "The series will absolutely complement Virgin1's summer schedule with it's unique, gonzo exploration of thrill-seeking Indiana Jones-style adventures, and is a perfect example of intelligent, accessible and thrilling programming which embodies the spirit of the channel."
