Wogan quiz wins Richard and Judy slot

Channel 4 has ordered a new Terry Wogan quiz show for the teatime slot previously dominated by Richard and Judy.

A four-week run of Wogan's Total Recall, a half-hour general knowledge quiz, will go out later this year.

Competitors will have to answer questions and recall answers from earlier in the show in order to win cash prizes.

Channel 4 piloted several shows for the slot, including one fronted by Richard Hammond, after Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan announced their departure.

"We are doing a pilot run of Terry's show for four weeks," said a spokeswoman. "We're still looking for other ideas but most will be for next year. We are still very committed to Paul O'Grady and will also run Come Dine With Me in daytime."

The primetime and daytime incarnations of Come Dine will alternate, Channel 4 said.
