Sky news have poached CNBC anchor Emma Crosby to become the new face of its morning news programme Sunrise.
Crosby will join Simon McCoy on the show, which is simulcast in part on five, from June.
"We are absolutely delighted that Emma will be joining us - she's one of the brightest young presenters in television news," said Nick Pollard, head of Sky News. "She will make a great contribution to the strongest team in the business."
CNBC president Rick Cotton said he "respected" Crosby's decision to leave the channel.
"Emma has been a valued member of our strong team of financial and business journalists at CNBC Europe, the leading pan-European business channel," he said today. "We respect Emma's decision to shift from financial journalism to general news and we wish her well in her new career."
Prior to joining CNBC as host of the European Market Wrap, Crosby had a brief stint on the ill-fated Money Channel and as a reporter on LWT's London Tonight.
