Craig Charles to host Jailbreak
Published Wednesday, Sep 6 2000, 17:00 BST | By Neil Wilkes
Craig Charles has been confirmed as the new host for Channel 5's reality gameshow Jailbreak, after previous host Ulrika Johnson pulled out amid health concerns for her new child.
The project, which involves 10 contestants attempting to break out of a purpose-made jail, begins this Sunday, and will broadcast live on the internet, with 6 shows per week on television.
Craig said today, ""It is a much more sophisticated game than Big Brother. I can imagine it being quite addictive viewing. This kind of programme is the future of television and the future of game shows. It is very realistic. To all intents and purposes it is a proper jail."
