India gets 'University Challenge'

India is to get its own version of University Challenge, according to BBC News today.
The students will face a tougher time because producers think that Indian students are "more diligent" than their UK counterparts.
"The mindset is different. The contestants will be very dedicated - they will swot up," said commissioning editor Nahendra Morar.
In the UK, University Challenge first aired on ITV in 1962 until it was axed 25 years later. BBC Two revived the format in 1994 and appointed Jeremy Paxman as host.
